Coba Tile Inc. Is based out of Morris, IL and was established in 2017 by myself, Jose, and my wife, Dinora. After working for more than 12 years in the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 21 as a Journeyman Installer, I decided to branch out and open my own tile installation company with my wife’s support. But it wasn’t easy. I had no experience running my own business. I quickly had to learn administration skills and Dinora was instrumental in doing research on the financial and legal requirements of opening and operating our own company. Prior to joining the union, I had experience remodeling houses in the Morris Area. This experience along with working in the union enhanced my project management, leadership and mentorship skills.
Long before joining Local 21, I was at a crossroads and needed to decide whether to pursue a career in the manufacturing field after being laid off after some years in the industry or to pursue a completely different career. I took my first career risk and challenged myself to continuing growing and training for a new career that now supports my family and my team.
Through many work colleague referrals and a hard-working team, we have grown Coba Tile Inc. within the Chicagoland Area under direct ownership supervision to ensure 100% satisfaction. We specialize in commercial and residential tile installation and repair. Whether it is a large commercial project or a smaller residential project, Coba Tile Inc. has a skilled team dedicated to providing efficient and high-quality work.
